Wax-Pattern 3D Printing & Jewelry Design
Parametric rings|From digital modeling to lost-wax casting

This project uses Grasshopper for generative ring design, using algorithmic logic to create intricate organic structures. Wax patterns are produced with high-precision SLA (stereolithography) 3D printing and then turned into metal through traditional lost-wax casting. The pieces are hand-finished and polished, fusing digital geometry with the sensory quality of metal.
- Generative ring design in Grasshopper, using algorithmic logic to create intricate organic structures
- Wax patterns produced with high-precision SLA (stereolithography) 3D printing
- Traditional lost-wax casting turns the wax patterns into metal
- Finished by hand: trimming and polishing
PROCESS
Wax printing → lost-wax casting → hand polishing
Many wax patterns are printed at once; after casting in metal, each piece is trimmed and polished individually.
